circle game

Everything the Power of the World does is done in a circle... so it is in everything where power moves. -Black Elk

the above paintings were created by first graders.
(purest painters on the planet)

circle painting, try it.
it's a global art movement, it's fun and it's cool.
conceived, birthed, shared and spread by Hiep Nguyen (Nguyen Cao Hiep).
it's contagious.
check out the website, especially
the "Photos" gallery.
my students love it.
especially the fact that you're only
allowed to say, "wow" while you paint.
very meditative for the one teaching.

spring frocks

Fashion week NYC may be over,
but i adore the fashion i find
almost every day on Etsy.
it's loaded with innovative
designers from all corners of the
country and the entire planet.
here, just a few ideas to get
your sap flowing:

a heavenly number called, appropriately, "A Dream Lighter Than a Cloud" ; the frock artist identifies her location as "never land".

for the goth in all of us, it's
gotta be J-alvo's take on a sun (moon?) dress. it makes me wanna howl.

for quick trips to the grocery,
or a spin around the block on your stingray,
bundle up, courtesy dark fusion boutique

with it, wear this Giddy Up Girl necklace by miss ruby sue;
ya gotta have pink tulle and neon violet pom-poms around
your neck this year, DON'T YOU READ VOGUE?

balance is essential to reach your fashion potential, so add some frilliness from AmoursansAnguish

this elven little number, also from AmoursansAnguish would make maypoling ever so much more festive than usual

Why am i sighing so
wistfully over these
early spring signs
of style as if they
were robins?

Seen in Albany NY this week:

okay two more self-ports

and then i'm done.
no more on-line dating whining,
promise.
no más.

two more portraits for the road,
for my imagined True & Real profile:

o the drama of it all,
oops i've fainted again.
and...

be afraid, be very afraid.

no, i don't have furry arms,
even partially.
that's a 3/4-length sleeve Nine West czarina coat bought new at the Goodwill.
kindly focus upon Skull Girl and not the iguana skin courtesy, the
great Northeast.
Thanks to Lemon Drop and the other San Diego Derby Dolls

(There's Lemon on the right.)
for stocking me with
infinite stick-on tats of their dangerous logo,
cuz Danger's
my middle name.
